More DIY 360° tests

Following up to my post a while back about my experiments with panoramic video, I've just got round to putting some more footage online. I shot these shortly after the original experiment, using a slightly more advanced setup (nice new glass bauble instead of old plastic one! ^_^) but it has, typically, taken me an age to get round to putting the results online.

I've experimented with shooting sideways, and also stuck cheesy video effects on a couple of shots for no good reason. Hope you enjoy.

If nobody has, you should apply for a pattent. Could be the next "Bullet Time" effect

Well, considering i was inspired to try this by a video posted here ages ago where they'd used a commercially avaliable panoramic reflector, I'm sure it's already patented...

what i'm more worried about is Michel Gondry making a music video this way before I do anything finished with the technique, and everyone thinking I nicked it off him! :-)

Where did you get the new ball?

just online... hard to find out of season! :) but i googled and ended up finding some from a garden centre online store that randomly had some...Needed glass ones, better than plastic but hard to find in this day + age

I also got a 6" diameter decorative stainless steel sphere but it was not very optically perfect and kind of unwieldy for this purpose! pleasing object tho.
